HC Deb 02 December 1942 vol 385 c1174W
Mr. Perkins

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will consider increasing the number of clothing coupons available for children under 12 months?

Mr. Dalton

No, Sir. Expectant mothers receive a supplement of 60 coupons which is intended to provide for the infant s layette; and the infant is entitled at birth to a ration at the ordinary basic rate, which is, owing to the low pointing of infants' clothes, equivalent to more than 100 coupons a year.
