HC Deb 04 August 1942 vol 382 c870W
Mr. Hewlett

asked the Prime Minister whether he will consider the appointment, to operate after the war, of a small committee of experts to examine inventions and ascertain whether, in the interests of the nation's trade, any of them merit financial assistance?

Mr. Attlee

The general question of the post-war financial needs of industry is one which is being considered by the responsible Ministers. The question of the post-war commercial exploitation of war-time inventions and new processes is being examined by a sub-Committee of the post-war Export Trade Committee. I do not consider that any further machinery is at present required.
