§ Mr. Hewlettasked the Prime Minister whether he will consider the appointment, to operate after the war, of a small committee of experts to examine inventions and ascertain whether, in the interests of the nation's trade, any of them merit financial assistance?
§ Mr. AttleeThe general question of the post-war financial needs of industry is one which is being considered by the responsible Ministers. The question of the post-war commercial exploitation of war-time inventions and new processes is being examined by a sub-Committee of the post-war Export Trade Committee. I do not consider that any further machinery is at present required.
