HC Deb 11 September 1941 vol 374 c313W
Sir W. Davison

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has received the report of Mr. John Morris, K.C., with regard to the complaints of the public as to the method and procedure of Government Departments and of local authorities in connection with the compulsory requisitioning of property and the compensation payable; and what decision has been arrived at by the Government in the matter?

Sir K. Wood

Yes, Sir. Copies of the report will be available in the Vote Office. The Government have decided to accept in principle the recommendations contained in it. Two of them will require legislation. Departmental instructions implementing the rest are now being issued.
