HC Deb 11 September 1941 vol 374 c351W
Sir L. Lyle

asked the Minister of Information why the British Broadcasting Corporation recently gave prominence to the views of Mr. Harry Pollitt, the Communist spokesman, especially in view of the attitude of the Trade Union Council towards the Communist party in this country and the fact that the Communist daily paper remains suppressed because its loyalty to the British war effort is not yet established?

Mr. Thurtle

The speech referred to in the hon. Member's Question was considered to be of sufficient public interest to justify the inclusion of a reference to it in the B.B.C.'s news bulletin.
