Mr. Quibell

asked the Minister of Health whether he will consider introducing in the public interest legislation to prevent

for Scotland for each of the 10 years ended 31st December, 1940, showing the number of murders known to the police, the number of murder charges brought before the high courts, and the numbers of men and women, respectively, concerned; the numbers of such persons found, respectively, insane, guilty of murder, guilty of culpable homicide, guilty of some lesser charge; the number of victims; the numbers of men and women, respectively, found guilty and sentenced to death, who were subsequently reprieved; and the numbers of men and women, respectively, who were executed?

The answer is as follows:

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Stourbridge (Mr. Morgan) on 9th September, of which I am sending him a copy.
