§ Sir T. Mooreasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether his attention has been called to the banning by the Glasgow Corporation of Royal Air Force talks to scholars in secondary schools; and whether he proposes to take any action about this decision?
Mr. JohnstonI have seen a Press report to this effect. In the exercise of their discretion in this matter it appears that the Corporation of Glasgow by a majority have decided not to permit facilities for personal appeals to join particular services. I do not propose to interfere with the Corporation's discretion in this matter.
