§ Sir K. WoodI have already explained the steps taken to avoid waste or extravagance both on matters dealt with by the Select Committee on National Expenditure and in day-to-day working. The extent of current expenditure renders constant attention to these matters necessary and my hon. Friend may rest assured that I shall still watch them closely.
