§ Captain Lyonsasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether the announcement of the Minister at Colwyn Bay, on 7th May, to the effect that food profiteers were being watched, and that this statement was a final warning, was made because of the recent investigation and report of the North Midland Regional Food Investigation Committee, which showed that profiteering was rife; and whether a series of comprehensive measures will now be introduced to end profiteering in foodstuffs, and to stop the gaps that have existed for so long?
