HC Deb 08 May 1941 vol 371 cc990-1W
Mr. Sloan

asked the Home Secretary the number of women between the ages of 20 and 30 years of age who have been evacuated out of the country since the beginning of the war?

Mr. H. Morrison

I regret that the information asked for could not be obtained without an undue expenditure of time and labour. Save in exceptional cases exit permits are not granted to enable women between the ages of 16 and 60 to proceed overseas unless they are travelling with children under 16 years of age.
