§ Mr. Sutcliffeasked the Minister of Agriculture why poultry keepers who grow their own food for their poultry are to be compelled to surrender most of it to the State?
Mr. HudsonMy hon. Friend no doubt refers to the recent Order prohibiting the use of wheat for feeding to livestock. I would point out, however, that unless the poultry keeper has grown more feeding stuffs than are required for his poultry, in accordance with the provisions of the Animal Feeding Stuffs Rationing Scheme, he can obtain, in exchange for his sales of wheat, coupons enabling him to buy an equivalent tonnage of alternative feeding-stuffs.
