§ Mr. Rowlandsasked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that in some towns in Warwickshire cinemas are ordered to close at 9 p.m., although dance halls and public houses are not so restricted; and, in view of the fact that no such official curfew has been imposed in London and most other towns in the country, will he see that these unfair restrictions are removed?
§ Mr. H. MorrisonIn order to reduce the risks arising from enemy action, a closing hour of 9 p.m. was imposed upon theatres and cinemas in certain parts of the country. I understand, however, that the question of extending the closing hour is at present under consideration.
