§ Sir R. Gowerasked the Postmaster-General whether he can make any statement as to the transport of mails from India and any losses en route?
§ Captain WaterhouseThe question of the transport of mails from India to this country is primarily a matter for the Indian Postal Administration: but I have no reason to doubt that the Indian Post Office takes advantage of every suitable opportunity which presents itself for the despatch of mails to the United Kingdom. No information has so far reached me of the loss of any mails from India by enemy action.
