§ Mr. Hannahasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps the burgh council of Edinburgh is taking to preserve the picturesque old building whose pend supplies a passage between St. Patrick Square and Buccleuch Street?
§ Mr. E. BrownI am informed that in 1938 the corporation considered the question of preservation of this old building and decided to demolish it in view of the condition of its fabrics. I am advised that the building has not sufficient architectural or historic interest to justify preservation.
