§ Mr. H. MorrisonThe London Salvage Corps is in existence and co-operates with the London Fire Brigade in emergency fire fighting operations. I am considering a scheme under which the personnel of the corps would form the nucleus of an expanded salvage organisation, working in conjunction with the London Fire Brigade. Under existing arrangements objects of value are recovered by those engaged in the work of clearance of debris, and they are handed over to a responsible officer of the local authority. I have no evidence to suggest that these arrangements are not satisfactory.
