§ LORD NOEL-BUXTONasked His Majesty's Government whether it is intended to make special provision for the maintenance, care and up-bringing of children of the civilian population who have become orphans through enemy action in Great Britain.
§ LORD TEMPLEMOREHis Majesty's Government have decided that the State, through the Minister of Pensions, should assume a similar degree of responsibility for these children as will be exercised in regard to orphan children of ex-Service men, and the necessary arrangements are now being prepared in consultation with the other Departments concerned.
