§ Mr. W. S. MorrisonPerishable articles contained in parcels which cannot be delivered or returned to the senders are normally sold to dealers in the neighbourhood of the Returned Letter Branch concerned. If however time is short or other considerations render that course advisable they are sold under proper safeguards to the member of the Post Office staff who makes the best offer. Some articles are in such a condition that they have to be destroyed.
