HC Deb 04 February 1941 vol 368 c813W
Mr. Ness Edwards

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has considered the complaint of South Wales farmers that orders for lime are so long delayed in delivery as to have a serious effect on food output; and what steps he is taking to deal with the complaint?

Mr. Hudson

I have received a number of complaints of delay in delivering lime in South Wales, which are being investigated. I am hopeful that plans recently brought into operation for accelerating the transport of agricultural lime will lead to an improvement in the position.
