Gibsonasked the Secretary for Mines whether in order to maintain fullest production from coal mines throughout the country he will cause the coal mines to carry out the recommendation of the Minister of Labour to munition factories to work through the Christmas period or have only one day's holiday; and if not, for how many and on which days will the coal mines throughout the country be closed during the Christmas period?
