Headlamasked the Home Secretary whether he is aware of a growing practice of utilising empty houses in resioential areas as furniture depositories; and whether he will give instructions that, in view of the additional risks of fires due to enemy action or other causes, those responsible for the storage of furniture should be compelled to employ a fire-watcher in any house utilised for such purpose, even though the space may be less than that prescribed by the existing regulation in this matter?
