§ Mr. A. Edwards
asked the Minister of Labour how many complaints he has received regarding the conduct of persons serving on the Newcastle tribunal for conscientious objection; and whether he will take the appropriate action to prevent the members of this tribunal attacking individuals and criticising religions beliefs, which is no part of their duty?923W
§ Mr. Assheton
Representations have been made to my right hon. Friend on two occasions with regard to remarks made by the chairman of the tribunal. On the other hand, he has received a number of tributes to his fairness and to that of the tribunal, in which he has every confidence.
