HC Deb 21 March 1940 vol 358 c2151W
Miss Rathbone

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that there is considerable dissatisfaction among members of the air defence of Great Britain in this country because they do not receive tobacco at the cheap rate enjoyed by men doing precisely the same kind of work overseas; and whether he will consider the extension of this privilege to these men while on active service guarding the home front?

Captain Crookshank

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer which my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Central Newcastle (Mr. Denville) on 23rd January last.
