HC Deb 21 March 1940 vol 358 cc2163-4W
Mr. R. Gibson

asked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been drawn to the difficulties caused in Greenock by large numbers of intending passengers endeavouring to board omnibuses at various stopping places; and whether he has any statement to make on the subject?

Captain Wallace

Under Section 34 of the Greenock Corporation Order, 1923, the corporation have powers to make bye-laws requiring persons waiting to enter any of their omnibuses to wait in lines or queues. I cannot require the corporation to exercise these powers.
