Morganasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the British Social Hygiene Council is in danger of ceasing to exist for want of Government and public financial support; and is he prepared to provide advisory and publicity services dealing with the particular aspects of public health hitherto covered by this organisation or to assist the organisation to carry on its work?
§ Mr. ElliotI am aware that financial difficulties have been experienced by the council, and I have drawn the special attention of local authorities responsible for education in social hygiene to the value of the facilities provided by the council in discharging their responsibilities.
