§ Mr. StanleyUnder the Military and Air Forces (Prolongation of Service) Act, 1939, the term of service of a soldier who would otherwise be entitled to be discharged at an earlier date is deemed not to expire until the end of the emergency. No gratuity is admissible on completion of 16 years'service in the Territorial Army.
