§ Mr. Dobbieasked the Home Secretary what complaints he has had from local authorities in respect of the cost of training men for the Auxiliary Fire Service and to the effect that, after such training has been completed, the men have been offered, and accepted, employment from local private firms; and whether it is his intention to issue regulations preventing this method of recruitment of labour by private firms?
§ Sir J. AndersonI am aware of the difficulties experienced by certain local authorities in this matter, and I am considering what measures are necessary in the national interest to prevent the loss of trained personnel.
