§ Mr. Kennedyasked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been drawn to difficulties and delay in connection with the construction of garden bomb-proof shelters caused by insistence on the preparation and submission of plans for formal approval by the municipal authorities before excavations can be commenced; and if steps will be taken to avoid this unnecessary delay?
§ Sir J. AndersonI am not aware that the construction of shelters has been hindered by any special difficulties of the kind suggested. If my right hon. Friend will give me particulars of cases he has in mind I will look into them.
