§ Mr. ElliotThe number of school children evacuated from Gillingham under the Government scheme was 2,633, of whom 1,339 have since returned home. In addition, about 750 children were 987W evacuated accompanied by their mothers, of whom it is estimated that about 80 per cent. have returned.
