Mr. Jenkinsasked the Secretary for Mines whether his attention has been called to the appointment of a committee by the coal and carbonisation industries to investigate technical developments in connection with engines driven by producer-gas; to consider the fixation of a uniform price and standard of quality of the gas; and whether, in view of the public interest and economic importance of this matter, he will invite the committee to publish any report they make?
§ Mr. LloydYes, Sir. My Department is in touch with the committee referred to. I understand that a specification for transport gas-producer fuels was issued by the committee to the Press a few days ago, and that the committee propose to issue further statements from time to time.
