§ Captain Pluggeasked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the present war lessons and its military value, he will consider proposing to the French Government the joint construction of a Channel tunnel?
§ The Prime MinisterHis Majesty's Government see no reason, in the light of the experience of the present war, to modify the general attitude adopted in relation to the Channel Tunnel in the White Paper issued in June, 1930. In these circumstances no useful purpose would be served in discussing the matter with the French Government.
