Major Millsasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether, with a view to avoiding unnecessary waste of petrol, he will recommend to all Government Departments that their principal officials should set an example to the public by using, wherever possible, small motor-cars of low petrol consumption rather than large saloons which are often employed by them at the present time?
§ Captain CrookshankI have no reason to think that Government Departments and their staffs are not fully alive to the desirability of avoiding the use of unnecessarily high-powered motor-cars, but if my hon. and gallant Friend has any particular case in mind, perhaps he will communicate with me.
