Morganasked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the facili- 1406W ties recently granted by the Home Office for the later opening of places of entertainment, in the interests of employment and public morale, he will now give permission to public road transport undertakings to provide transport at later hours so as to enable the public to take advantage of these facilities?
§ Captain WallaceThe need for the rationing of fuel has inevitably involved some reductions in public road transport facilities, but every effort has been made to maintain adequate essential services. If my hon. Friend knows of any case where, in his view, permission to run a late service has been unwarrantably refused, I will gladly look into the matter.
