§ Mr. Levyasked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that the difficulty of obtaining wagons when they are wanted is in some cases impeding the work of the collieries, putting a brake on coal exports, and involving collieries in loss; and what steps it is proposed to take to ensure that the wagon control is efficiently applied and that wagons are made available for essential transport?
§ Captain WallaceI would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which I gave to the hon. Member for the Wentworth Division (Mr. Paling) on 15th November. I am advised that any difficulties experienced in the export of coal are due rather to shipping delays than to shortage of wagons.
