§ Mr. Woodburnasked the Secretary of State for Scotland why, in the Government buildings of St. Andrew's House, Edinburgh, there is provision for a bar for the supply of alcoholic liquor; and whether the present rule against civil servants drinking during their working day is to be suspended?
§ Mr. ColvilleI understand that the management committee of the staff luncheon club at St. Andrew's House propose to apply for a licence for the sale of liquor, and to allow such sale with meals during the period within which luncheon is served. This is in accordance with practice in the case of other staff luncheon clubs and I am not aware of such a rule as is referred to by the hon. Member.
