§ Mr. ColvilleThe whole question of further assistance to agriculture has been under discussion between my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture and myself and the English and Scottish representative organisations concerned. As the hon. Member is aware, it has already been announced that additional assistance will be given to oats and barley, and that the long-term policy for these cereals will be applied retrospectively, as far as practicable, in respect of the 1938 crops.
