HC Deb 02 March 1939 vol 344 c1462W
Sir W. Jenkins

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that Mr. Evan David, 10, Cattle Street, Neath, an unemployed tin worker, has had his unemployment pay reduced from 17s. per week to 15s.; that he is a bachelor living in lodgings, paying 6s. per week for lodging, 1s. for washing, 1s. for Sunday dinner, and has only 7s. to provide food and clothing; and will he restore him to his former position?

Mr. E. Brown

I will have inquiries made and will communicate with the hon. Member.
