§ The Attorney-GeneralThe reasons for the arrangement which has been made with the Association of Official Shorthand Writers for the taking of an official shorthand note in certain cases in the Supreme Court are stated fully in the report of a committee presided over by Mr. Justice Atkinson (Cmd, 5395), which was presented to Parliament in March, 1937, to which I would refer the hon. Gentleman. The arrangement has been entered into on the instructions of the Lord Chancellor with the consent of the Treasury.
