§ Sir R. Glynasked the First Commissioner of Works (1) whether the Royal United Service Institution have accepted the proposals made by the Government in regard to the property in Whitehall at present under lease to them; and, if not, what steps he is taking to reach agreement as to terms, it being recognised that the members of the institution, with few exceptions, are anxious to conform to the scheme provided their interests are safeguarded, in view of the position of the institute as trustee for many interesting relics, etc.;
(2) Whether he can state how far the negotiations have proceeded for the trans- 2482W to their parents or deposit in the Savings Bank, to be accumulated for their benefit and it is from this source that they pay their railway fares.
