§ Major TryonThe extension of telephone kiosk facilities in the Western Isles is dependent upon the opening of exchanges in the various islands; this is now in hand, following the recent completion of the new telephone link to the Mainland. Eight telephone kiosks have already been brought into service and another 26 are to be provided as soon as practicable.
