§ Mr. W. R. Duckworthasked the Minister of Labour whether he will consider including in any new Order-in-Council under the Military Service Act provisions for witnesses unable to attend judicial proceedings owing to military service to be excused on these grounds?
§ Mr. Hore-BelishaI have been asked to reply. Soldiers are not exempt from attendance at court, on subpoena, as witnesses, and I can see no reason for making any distinction in the case of militiamen.
