HC Deb 14 December 1939 vol 355 cc1317-8W
Sir H. Morris-Jones

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in connection with advertising under the National Savings Loan Campaign Scheme, consideration will be given to weekly provincial newspapers in view of the wide, and, perhaps, more intimate publicity hat would be secured thereby in the homes of the people?

Sir J. Simon

Those responsible for the conduct of the War Savings Campaign are fully aware of the value of the weekly provincial Press as an advertising medium and no less than 727 papers of this type throughout the country are already being used for this purpose.
