HC Deb 14 December 1939 vol 355 cc1320-1W
Sir P. Hannon

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is satisfied that everything possible is now being done to facilitate the development and expansion of Anglo-French trade; if recent difficulties which had arisen from the delays in the issue of licences for imports from and exports to France are being rectified; and if every practical effort is being made to restore Anglo-French trade to its prewar conditions?

Mr. Stanley

As has recently been explained on several occasions, steps have been taken to remove difficulties in the way of Anglo-French trade to the greatest possible extent.
