§ Mr. StanleyI do not propose to issue any further preliminary reports on the results of the Import Duties Act Inquiry for 1937, and it will not be possible to present a final report on the inquiry during the war period. The hon. Member may have observed from the public announcement made on 14th October that, during the continuance of the war, inquiries under the Import Duties Act, 1932, and the Census of Production Act, 1906, have been suspended.
