§ Mr. Parkerasked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that the President of the Board of Trade is a director of Prescot Proprietary, Limited; and whether he will take steps to ensure compliance with the rule that Ministers of the Crown should not hold company directorships?
§ The Prime MinisterPrescot Proprietary, Limited; is a private company and is not subject to the rule to which the hon. Member refers. In any case I am informed that my right hon. Friend is not a director of the company, although he has power to act for one of the directors in the event of that director being abroad. He has no interest in the profits of the company, and has in fact never been called upon to act as a director.
