Lennox-BoydThe total number of insured persons, aged 14 to 64 years, in the building industry classification, recorded as unemployed at Employment Exchanges in the large burgh of Glasgow at 17th October, 1938, was 4,598, of whom 4,337 were men aged 21–64, 228 were youths and boys under 21 years, and 33 were women and girls. The corresponding figures for Scotland were 14,441, 1361W 13,612, 722 and 107 respectively. The numbers of unemployed men, aged 21–64 years, in the various occupation were as follows:
