§ Mr. ElliotParticulars of this case have been given to my Department, though I am advised that the particulars indicate that the illness from which the patient was suffering may not have been smallpox. I am informed that the patient was successfully vaccinated against smallpox 1223W in childhood, and that he has been vaccinated on several subsequent occasions without result.
