HC Deb 14 November 1938 vol 341 c524W
Lieut.-Colonel Heneage

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many objections his Department has received from newspaper proprietors, or associations of newspapers, to the imposition of a tariff on imported foreign or Dominion newsprint, with a preference to the Dominions; and whether he will give the names of any objectors?

Captain Wallace

I am not aware that any such proposal is under consideration.
