HC Deb 14 November 1938 vol 341 c516W
Mr. Windsor

asked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been drawn to the circumstances of a recent industrial accident in Hull, when John William Dailey, aged 63 years, an oilmiller of Barmston Street, Hull, suffered a double fracture of the left arm at the Oxford Street mill of Messrs. Chambers and Fergus; and whether, in view of the fact that the workman received his injuries while trying to place a creeper belt on some machinery, resulting in the trapping of the arm between the belt and the pulley, he will have inquiry made as to the observance of proper safety measures?

Sir S. Hoare

Yes, Sir; inquiries have been made and the question of the action to be taken is now under consideration.
