§ Mr. Kellyasked the Postmaster-General whether the proposed co-ordination between the Post Office and Cable and Wireless, Limited, will entail the suppression of any circuits at present operated by them; and, if so, what provision will be made for the staff who would be affected?
§ Sir W. Womersley:I am not in a position to forecast the extent to which the co-ordination of the Anglo-Continental telegraph services will lead to the suppression of existing circuits; but I have no reason to suppose that the arrangements made with Cable and Wireless, Limited, will have an adverse effect on the staff concerned.
