§ Mr. De Chairasked the Minister of Agriculture what was the proportion of barley, not of malting quality, produced at home and imported, respectively, in 1913 and in 1937?
§ Mr. W. S. MorrisonIt is not possible, on the data available, to estimate what proportion of the supply of barley, not of malting quality, were produced at home and were imported, respectively, in the year 1913, and it is too early to estimate what were the proportions in 1937. On the latest information available, however, it is probable that about one-third of the present supply of non-malting barley is home produced and about two-thirds imported.
