HC Deb 02 June 1938 vol 336 cc2266-7W
Mr. Gallacher

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that remuneration of medical officers in attendance at venereal disease clinics in London is fixed on the basis of the number of attendances per medical officer; and, as this practice is calculated to lead to abuses, will he cause the salary basis to be altered?

Mr. Elliot:

I am informed by the London County Council that the remuneration of medical officers at clinics at present participating in the Venereal Diseases Scheme for London is not determined on the basis indicated. The second part of the question does not therefore arise.
